POLICE have issued an appeal for witnesses after a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision in Barnsley on Saturday night.
At around 10.55pm, emergency services were called to Westway, at the junction with the Alhambra roundabout, following reports of a collision involving a red Honda CR-V and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 40-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where she remains in a critical condition.The driver of the Honda stopped at the scene and is helping officers with their enquiries.
Witnesses to the collision, or motorists who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to get in touch with police. Please contact them online or by calling 101 quoting incident number 1091 of 15 July 2023.
