

Taste of the Caribbean: Summer party for retirees in Barnsley
Retirees in Barnsley are invited to join McCarthy Stone staff and homeowners for a taste of the Caribbean event at its Beckett Grange Retirement Living development on Berneslai Close.
Local retirees and their friends and family are welcome to the development on Thursday 18th August between 2pm and 4pm for a summer party featuring Caribbean-inspired drinks and buffet food. Attendees will also be entertained with live reggae music.

Explore RSPB Old Moor nature reserve for FREE for our Brass, Birds and Barnsley Tales, exploring our industrial, cultural and natural history!
Chol Theatre will present a story trail 10-12noon and 1-3pm, with actors around the reserve, brass band, wildlife info and activities and kids crafts.
WildLights Lantern Tail
After the sell out success of Ripples Lantern Trail last year, Handmade Parade will be back this October. And this time, it's over two nights- Friday 14th and Saturday 15th October!
Bring your torch and explore Old Moor after hours along paths lined with beautiful lit sculptures, lanterns and artwork, make a waterlily wish to float out onto the water, enjoy crafts and shadow puppetry before snuggling up round the campfires with a hot chocolate.
