A PENISTONE road will remain closed until next week.
Huddersfield Road, near Penistone Grammar School, was closed last Thursday due to a dangerous structure after the partial collapse of a wall next to the footpath and the council has announced it will remain shut for a further week.
The current diversion and temporary pedestrian walkway will stay as they are while the road remains closed. Barriers are in place to keep pedestrians away from the dangerous structure.
Road diversions are in place, though vehicles will still be able to access Penistone Grammar School from a northerly direction, via the A629 Halifax Road and Huddersfield Road.
