A VETERANS’ night to raise funds and awareness for a lesser-known charity has been planned.
Taking place on Friday at West Green Working Men’s Club in Monk Bretton, it will feature live music, food and a raffle as they raise funds for Combat Stress – a charity focused on veterans’ mental health.
There are also hopes that a representative from the charity – whose patron is King Charles – will attend the night to share a few words.
Organiser John Gardner said: “We would like to thank all who donated – there’s too many to mention.
“We’d also like to thank the singers Andy Lowe and Stevie Ross, Barnsley’s bugler Paul Sammie Goose, the Buglers' Association and the bar staff and committee of West Green Club.”
