A LOCAL councillor has branded vandals ‘idiots’ after equipment was damaged.
The BT Openreach box was vandalised at the junction of A635 Doncaster Road and Cliff Road.
Darfield councillor Kevin Osborne said that the damage had been reported to BT Openreach for repair.
He added: “It’s just a total waste of time, effort and money to fix this thanks to vandals, and that's not counting the inconvenience to phone and Internet users in the community. Idiots.”
