BARNSLEY College is celebrating after staff received nine recognitions in prestigious national teaching awards.
They attained three Certificates of Excellence, five Highly-Commended accolades and one Bronze winner in the Pearson National Teaching Awards 2024.
The Esports team, the Media team, the Learning for Living and Work team and staff from the Digital and Creative Industries and Business departments were recognised, with the Media team taking the title of Bronze winner in the FE Team of the Year category.
Matthew Staples, Director of Pedagogy and Innovation, said: “These accolades are testament to the dedication and passion displayed by our teaching staff each and every day at Barnsley College. I am very pleased that these staff members and teams are receiving recognition for their unwavering dedication to delivering an outstanding learning experience for our students.
“I’m sure they will continue to go above and beyond in their day-to-day and I’m excited to see what they will achieve in the future.”
