THE 19th annual Elsecar by the Sea Gala was celebrated on Saturday 10 September.
The event was organised by the Forge Community Partnership and took place in Elsecar Park.
The partnership has made a positive community contribution each year by organising the well-respected gala.
Neil Spencer, CEO of the Forge Community Partnership, said: “The Elsecar by the Sea Gala is a showcase for everyone, underpinning that we have the drive and ability to achieve and deliver a great, safe, fun day for all our community.
“The day was a blend of community groups promoting their great work, information stalls and fundraising for great causes, music and entertainment including magic, a Punch and Judy show and Rockingham Brass Band, along with public safety from South Yorkshire Fire Service.”
The gala raised funds to support Milton Hall in recognition of the support shown to the Aid for Ukraine appeal and the Remembrance service and parade in Hoyland.
The gala proved to be a popular event with the community.
Neil added: “The day was an overwhelming success and was opened by the Lady Mayor Sarah Tattersall.
“Crowds of people were immersed in the event and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.”
