A CEREMONY will be held in Barnsley on Tuesday to remember those who have and are currently serving our country.
At 10am, the Mayor of Barnsley and Coun Joe Hayward will lead the ceremony at the Armed Forces Walkway.
Newly-laid stones will be revealed on the day.
Coun Joe Hayward, Armed Forces Champion, said: “This walkway is a tribute to our armed forces personnel in Barnsley and we’re proud to honour them in this way.
“The walkway is a space for friends and family of those who risked their lives for their country, and it will be an honour to lead the ceremony.”
The dedicated walkway is on Westgate by the college gardens.
