WITNESSES who saw a man reportedly threatened residents by waving a large knife out of a car window in Wath-upon-Dearne are being sought by police.
On May 19 at around 1.55pm, police received reports of a man driving a silver Volkswagen with a roof rack waving a knife in a threatening manner on Manvers Way.
Officers are now appealing for information and witnesses following the incident.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Enquiries are ongoing to locate the man, but officers want to speak to anyone who might have seen what happened that afternoon.
“Were you driving on Manvers Way on May 19?
“Did you notice anything or any drivers acting suspiciously?
“If you can help our investigation please call 101 quoting crime reference number 14/77554/21.”
