SOME residents in Barnsley have experienced a power cut this morning which has affected almost 3,000 homes in Barnsley and Sheffield.
Homes in the S75 area of Barnsley have today (January 29) been affected by the powercut – which Northern Powergrid called “unexpected.”
A spokesperson for the company said: “For this type of powercut we normally restore power to 90 per cent of our customers in about 90 minutes.
“We currently estimate that the power will be back on by 9.45am.”
