A NEW event that combines music and memories for people living with dementia took place at Toby Carvery in Dodworth for the first time last week.
Music Makes Memories will see guests treated to a two course carvery and enjoy live entertainment – with the first event being opened by entertainers Stevie Moore and Patricia Lynn.
Mayor Coun Pauline Markham also attended the event.
Organiser Kathy Markwick said: “This was a huge success and replaces the award-winning Berneslai Memory Cafe.
“We are extremely grateful to principal sponsors, NPS Barnsley and to the poster sponsors, MKB Solicitors.
“The event is aimed at those living with dementia and their families/carers and offers invaluable respite for many people.”
The next Music Makes Memories is on Tuesday, April 14.
