MP Michael Dugher has nominated the Thaal in Darfield for the Tiffin Cup, a competition to find the best South Asian restaurant in the UK.
Thaal specialises in Indian, Bangladeshi and Balti dishes and has been awarded 107 excellent ratings on the TripAdvisor website.
Mr Dugher said: "The range and quality of delicious food on offer is truly brilliant and it is right that the chefs and staff are recognised for this."
Now in its seventh year, the Tiffin Cup will receive submissions from across the country in the search for the very best South Asian cuisine.
Once all the nominations have been received, 10 of the best entrants will be shortlisted and invited to the House of Commons to showcase their culinary skills in a cook-off where the winner will be selected.
All proceeds from the competition will be donated to World Vision, which raises money to transform the lives of the poorest people in the developing world.
