PLANNING ROUND-UP: Permission is being sought to build an extension to an industrial unit in Dodworth.

If approved, the extension will be built on Fall Bank Industrial Estate. A report said: “Door Solutions Group is an internal door manufacturing business operating from two adjoined units within Wortley Court on the Fall Bank Industrial Estate, Dodworth. The business needs additional space for expansion of operations.

“The proposal will see an increase in usable floor space with the retention of all existing boundaries and external materials. The proposed extension will match the existing adjacent with materials, cladding profiles and colours. The context of the proposal are in keeping with the aesthetic of the existing industrial units and the area as a whole. The existing vehicular access to the site is maintained with available parking numbers preserved. The temporary impact to the existing site will be minimal with a short construction programme expected.”
