AGE UK Barnsley chief executive Debby Bunn has left her role within the organisation with immediate effect.
It is understood that the decision came following a meeting last month.
A spokesperson for Age UK Barnsley said: “We confirm that Debby Bunn has left her position as CEO for Age UK Barnsley.
“We will now be recruiting for the position, however in the interim our chair of the Board of Trustees will be taking on the role.
“The older people of Barnsley remain our priority and our focus is on our work supporting them. If older people or their friends and family in the local area have any questions or concerns, please contact us on 776820.”
