RESIDENTS in Monk Bretton are being warned to expect delays this week.
At 9.30am tomorrow (Tuesday), temporary traffic lights will be erected on Rotherham Road until 2pm on Thursday. Gas company Cadent will be working at the site.
Barnsley Council also announced that Burton Road between Old Tannery Way and Newlyn Drive will be closed from 7am on Tuesday for repairs to the road and pavement following work over the weekend by Yorkshire Water to deal with a burst water main.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place for a week in Hoyle Mill too. From 8am on Wednesday until 5pm the following Tuesday, the lights will be in place on Pontefract Road. Northern Powergrid will be undertaking works at the site.
Parker Street in Kingstone, will also be closed from tomorrow until Monday while work is being carried out by Northern Powergrid.
