A group of daredevil support workers based in Barnsley recently took to the sky to raise funds for a mental health charity.

The team work for Millennium Support at their Cudworth service, ‘Sunnywell’, where they provide support for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

They raised a total of £1,758 for Mencap – a charity close to the hearts of people they work with – after jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet on October 14.

Vicky Richardson, the service manager, said: “We are all so thrilled to raise the fantastic total for Mencap.

“The skydive was the most thrilling, exhilarating adrenaline rush that I’ve ever experienced and to do it for such a worthy cause, made it even more incredible.”
