A FORMER Darton High School pupil is set to represent Australia in the World Dragon Boat Championships.
Simon Lunn, 47, met his wife Amanda whilst working at Tesco’s head office in London.
He first heard of dragon boat racing when he emigrated to Hong Kong with his wife, and he took up the sport in earnest, years later when he moved to Australia in 2013.
After captaining New South Wales in the Inter State Championships this year, he was called up to the national team in February following a rigourous selection process.
He will now compete in the IDBF World Dragon Boat Championships, held in Pattya in Thailand, this week in the Australian men’s senior team.
