A BARNSLEY duo will take to the skies next month to raise funds for a local mental health charity.
Arron Everard, 29, and his work colleague Tom Watson, will travel to Doncaster on May 13 to take part in a charity skydive.
Arron, from Lundwood, is hoping to raise £1,000 for Andy’s Man Club – a charity close to his heart.
He said:: “We’re going to be doing a skydive for Andy’s Man Club.
“I lost two of my best friends last year to suicide.
“I also had a rough patch in 2018 myself with mental health.
“Now I’m in a better state I want to be able to give back.
“We’re hoping to raise £1,000 in total.”
Arron has never jumped out of a plane before himself, but he’s relishing the challenge.
“It’s the first time I’ve done something like this,” he added.
“It’s something that you’ve just got to turn up and do – there’s no preparing for it.
“This charity is something that is really dear to me at the moment.”
