A LOCAL care home has been rated as ‘good’ following its latest Care Quality Commission inspection.
Low Laithes, based on Old Farm Lane, Wombwell, is a home which cares for 33 people and offers personal care and support for adults who have complex care needs, including behaviours that challenge and a learning disability, often in association with autism.
It was inspected in June, with the report being made published earlier this month.
It said: “The home is larger than best practice guidelines.
“However, this is offset by the provider dividing the home into separate apartments and having a strong focus on outcomes for people meeting the principles of ‘right support, right care, right culture’.
“Our overall rating for this assessment remains good.”
