INTERNATIONAL goalkeeper Jamie Searle is Barnsley’s first signing of the season.
Searle, who’s played for Swansea City and Aston Villa in his three years in English football, has been given a two-year deal at Oakwell.
The 21-year-old from New Zealand will officially join the Reds on July 1, subject to clearance.
He made his international debut in March, and said he’s looking forward to ’showing what he can do’ to help the side back into the Championship.
“I want to make my debut, play as many games as I can and do as well as I can for the club,” added Searle.
