AGE UK Barnsley has launched two fundraising activities for residents to get involved with.

They have launched the two new initiatives for this year to promote its work and to raise money for Barnsley’s over 50s.

For the adrenaline junkies there is a skydive from 15,000 feet - the two jump dates available are May 15 and July 17.

For those who aren’t quite as adventurous, there’s a ‘Time for Tea’ fundraiser where residents join up for a tea morning.

Alec Olsen, Age UK Barnsley’s Fundraising and Community Relations Co-ordinator, said: “We just thought now was a good time to put some ‘fun’ into our fundraising and invite more people to get involved in supporting our work.

“We hope people will enjoy themselves taking on one of these opportunities and raise some funds and our profile at the same time.”
