BARNSLEY Museums is on the hunt for volunteers to support the work of their six attractions across the borough.

The new volunteers will join a dedicated team who support work in areas such as gardening, research and welcoming visitors.

Coun Tim Cheetham, cabinet spokesperson for place, said: “We can’t thank our dedicated team of volunteers enough.

“Their amazing contribution at all the Barnsley Museums attractions is invaluable, they offer a diverse range of skills and experience and in return we offer them unique opportunities, social interactions, and a whole host of support.

“By becoming a volunteer at Barnsley Museums, you not only support all of our local communities but raise the profile of our amazing borough.”
