SOUTH Yorkshire Police are asking for information after two commercial premises were ram-raided earlier this week.
Just before 9pm on Tuesday, a dark-coloured four-by-four vehicle deliberately reversed into the security shutters at a business on Barnsley Retail Park, Wombwell Lane.
The offenders gained entry and then subsequently searched the area before leaving.
Around half an hour later, a further report was made to the police of a dark-coloured four-by-four reversing into shutters on Rowms Lane in Swinton, gaining access and stealing items from the property.
Detective Sergeant Paul Woodruff said: “Enquiries conducted by officers have led us to believe the vehicle used by the offenders was a grey or black Land Rover which would now have significant rear-end damage.”
Anyone who has any information on the two incidents has been asked to come forward.
Contact police on 101 quoting incident number 806 of December 28.
If you have any dash-cam or CCTV footage which would help officers with their enquiries, email them to enquiries@southyorks.pnn.police.uk – and include the incident number in the subject line on the email.
