BARNSLEY will take on Barrow in the FA Cup next month after their second round replay win earlier this week.

The Reds were drawn against either Ipswich Town or Barrow in the third round - and the League Two side won 2-0 at home against the League One outfit on Wednesday night.

Barrow are currently 19th in the fourth tier of English football and beat non-league side Banbury United in the first round before beating Ipswich in their second-round replay.

Barnsley lost to Chelsea in the fifth round of the cup last year and will hope to go on a similar run this year, potentially facing another top Premier League side.

It’ll be the first time the Reds have faced The Bluebirds since 1970 and the game will be played early in January at Oakwell.
