AS bus services across the borough remain disrupted – one provider has extended their services to help get residents where they need to go.

Stagecoach drivers and engineers remain on strike until Saturday but Globe Travel has stepped in to pick up some of Stagecoach's services.

The bus operator will run the 23, 23a and 24 services from Barnsley to Stocksbridge and also the number seven service to Hoyland.

The 178 school service to Horizon school will also be running as normal as will the 94, 94a, 94b, 96, 97 and 198 services.

Services to Darton College will also remain unaffected – the services are the 483, 485, 488, 489, and 490.

A spokesperson for Globe said: “We would like to confirm that all our services are operating as normal, although some are affected by slight delays due to road conditions we are out and about and here for you to use.”
