A NINETY-year-old man died on Tuesday afternoon when he crashed into a lamppost and two parked cars in Honeywell following a ‘medical episode’.
Emergency services were called at around 2.30pm to reports that there had been a collision on Honeywell Street.
It’s believed that the 90-year-old man, who was driving a blue Honda, had a medical episode before colliding with two unattended park cars and a lamppost.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police added: “The driver was taken to hospital but sadly died a short time after he arrived.
“Nobody else was injured.
“Officers are now appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who has any information about the collision to come forward.
“We are especially keen to hear from anyone with dash-cam or CCTV footage which may have captured the vehicle.
