FOURTEEN Barnsley residents died within 28 days of a positive coronavirus result last month.
The September figure is lower than the August number when 25 people died across the borough.
A total of 869 people have died in Barnsley with the virus since the start of the pandemic.
More than 125 people were admitted to Barnsley Hospital with Covid last month.
Since the start of the pandemic there has been 3,381 hospital admissions - 129 of those were in September.
It’s a figure lower than August when 147 people were admitted.
There were 22 residents admitted to the hospital on September 4.
There are currently 46 patients in hospital with Covid and six on ventilation beds.
