AN EVENT which brings the Carlton community together is set to be held this Saturday.
The Carlton Gala will be held from 10am until 4pm at the St John’s Church grounds.
Steve Gallamore, the organiser of this year’s event, hopes that people will come down - and there’s hopes to raise money for a number of charities.
He said: “There will be a DJ, live music, inflatables, and a wide range of stalls including crafts, cakes and games.
“We’re trying to raise money for Cancer Research, the local blind organisation and some funds will go back into the church.
“The main purpose of the gala is to get the community back together because they’ve not been able to be with each other for the last year.”
The event will be taking place as long as weather conditions aren’t torrential.
