FIREFIGHTERS from across the borough were called to four deliberate rubbish fires this week.
A total of six fires were recorded in Barnsley by South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue in the last week - five of which were started deliberately.
There was one accidental fire on Sunday night, as firefighters from Barnsley station were called out to a bonfire which had spread to a garden shed in Worsbrough Common.
There was also one vehicle fire, on Church Street in Bolton-upon-Dearne, where firefighters from the Dearne station found a van that had been deliberately set alight.
