BARNSLEY FC will start their season in South Wales as they travel to face Cardiff in their Championship opener.
Seven days later and their first home game will be against Coventry City and former Reds boss Mark Robins - a team which they failed to defeat last year.
The Reds will end their season at The Hawthorns on May 7 where they’ll come up against Valerien Ismael’s West Bromwich Albion - a very intriguing fixture after Thursday’s events.
Perhaps the biggest games of the season will be against local rivals Sheffield United - they visit Oakwell on October 23 before hosting the Reds on March 19 at Bramall Lane.
Barnsley host Stoke City on Boxing Day and will travel to Nottingham to face Chris Hughton’s side at the City Ground on New Year’s Day.
