RESIDENTS in Mapplewell and Staincross are urged to make extra time for their journeys as a set of roadworks will begin today.
The drainage works will affect Bar Lane and Wakefield Road.
On Bar Lane, a one-way restriction will be in place, allowing commuters to travel from Wakefield Road towards Blacker Road only.
Traffic on Wakefield Road will not be able to turn right to travel into Mapplewell and will instead have to travel onto Shaw Lane, and via Greenside.
The work is expected to last eight weeks and begun today (June 7).
