THE REDS might have lost tonight's game, but their chances of promotion aren't ruined yet.
The team lost 1-0 to Swansea in the first leg of the Championship play-offs in the first game back at Oakwell in front of fans in more than 400 days.
André Ayew’s curling left-footed effort was the only goal of the game as the Reds lost to the Swans for the third time this season.
Barnsley had lost both previous league games against Swansea 2-0 earlier on in the season. The Reds went into the the first leg at Oakwell having drawn 2-2 with champions Norwich on the final day, whilst Swansea lost 2-0 to Watford.
Despite an energetic display in the second half Barnsley were unable to turn the game around and the final score was 0-1.
However, their luck could still turn around as Barnsley FC head to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday with hopes still alive of a date at Wembley later this month.
