FIREFIGHTERS from Dearne station were called to a rubbish fire in Thurnscoe yesterday morning (December 4) - it marks the eighth deliberate fire reported to the team since last weekend.
Crews arrived at 12.40am to tackle the blaze on Lidget Lane, which is believed to have been started deliberately.
The fire was put out by 1.25am.
Earlier this week, firefighters across the borough were called other deliberate fires including a rubbish fire at Cudworth Parkway in Cudworth on Wednesday night and a bush fire on Thursday night on Laithes Lane on Athersley South.
