SOUTH Yorkshire Police has released information to help prevent people from falling victim to potential scams while doing their Christmas shopping.
As shops are closed due to the ongoing pandemic, many people may turn online to do their Christmas shopping.
However, scammers can target shoppers online, and the police are urging the public to follow online safety tips to help prevent people from falling victim to the scams.
A spokesperson from the force said: “This Christmas more of us than ever before will be shopping online for our presents.
“We want to help people avoid being a victim of fraud – to protect themselves and their finances.”
