IF you’ve got excited and bought a real Christmas tree this year but don’t know what do with it afterwards, the fundraising team at Barnsley Hospice could help.

Barnsley Hospice has launched its Christmas ‘Treecycle’ campaign where for a donation to the cash-strapped charity - the team will help recycle people’s old Christmas tree.

This appeal is in a bid to raise vital funds whilst helping residents across the borough recycle correctly.

A spokesperson for Barnsley Hospice said: “Once again, this year’s Christmas Treecycle is kindly supported by D&D Couriers Barnsley and Shaw’s Waste Recycling, and we are so grateful for their support.

“With their help, we are able to recycle supporter’s Christmas trees throughout the local area and raise much-needed funds for the hospice.”
