BARNSLEY Hospital has announced that some appointments will be relocated to help minimise the spread of coronavirus.
From today (November 9), phlebotomy appointments will take place at The Cudworth Centre, Carlton Street.
The move was made to help protect patients who may require blood tests, and to help maintain social distancing in both buildings.
A spokesperson for the hospital said: “The new location not only has more available car parking, but will also allow the service to increase capacity which will help reduce waiting times for patients.
"The phlebotomy outpatients service will continue to be an appointment based system for adult patients."
Patients with an existing appointment do not need to re-book as appointments have automatically transferred to the new location.
Patients under 16-years-old who require a blood test are to continue to contact the paediatric outpatient department on 434966 or 435205.
