A SCHOOL in Silkstone has organised a spooky scarecrow trail across the village in a bid to raise funds for an outdoor classroom.

Youngsters from Silkstone Primary found an alternative way to celebrate Halloween by designing their own scarecrows.

Residents will have a chance to follow the Scarecrow Trail throughout the week whilst abiding by distancing rules.

The trail, which finishes after October 31, has been backed and supported by the community.

Families are encouraged to make a small donation whilst participating - with the money used to fit an outdoor classroom.
