BARNSLEY Markets will return to 'normal' trading hours from tomorrow.
The markets will open six-days-a-week from tomorrow (September 7) after a phased opening due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A spokesperson for Barnsley Council said: “Shoppers are encouraged to visit alone and to adhere to social distancing throughout the market.
“Shopping visits should be carried out as quickly as possible to allow other shoppers to come into the market and to shop and support the traders.
“Face coverings are required to be worn before entering the market unless there is a reasonable reason not to do so.
“You can remove your mask to eat and drink in Market Kitchen but when walking to and from the market to Market Kitchen shoppers must wear their face covering.”
The markets' opening times will be Monday – Saturday from 8.30am to 4pm.
