FILLING up your car will be a lot cheaper this week as three major supermarkets have cut their fuel prices.

Morrisons, Asda, and Tesco have all reduced their unleaded fuel prices to less than £1 per litre after Morrisons made their announcement on Sunday.

This is the first time fuel prices have been reduced since 2016 and the measures came into effect yesterday.

In a statement released by Asda a spokesperson said the decision was made to “help support the nation during these unprecedented times” as many people are being encouraged to return to work from Wednesday as part of new government guidelines.

The supermarket chains around the borough are currently offering the lowered prices.
