A MAN was taken to hospital after he was assaulted in an alleyway.
Police were called to Eldon Street at 8.30pm on Friday following reports that an assault had allegedly taken place.
The victim, a 30-year-old man, was found lying in an alley with injuries to his face and head.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
