McDonald’s will be monitored closely

A SPIKE in antisocial behaviour at a McDonald’s restaurant near Barnsley town centre is being monitored by police.

The venue, off Old Mill Lane, has been a ‘long-running battle’ for police but the recent Easter holiday resulted in more incidents being reported.

Sgt Dave Baines said: “McDonald’s provide their own security at key times but the holidays saw more kids come into the area.

“We had a spike in antisocial behaviour reports but we’ll monitor the situation.”
