A PEDESTRIAN was airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Westway yesterday at around 1.50pm following reports a person had been involved in a collision with a car.
The road was closed from Townend roundabout towards the Alhambra whilst the incident was dealt with.
The person was airlifted to hospital though it is believed the injuries are not life threatening.
The road reopened at 3.50pm.
