BARNSLEY College students showcased their business skills by raising more than £1,500 for Barnsley Hospice.
Taking place throughout March, the Accumulator Challenge saw students from leaning for living and work, horticulture, foundation learning, construction, sport and business putting their creativity and business brains to the test when they embarked on a mission to turn a £30 investment into a substantial donation for a worthy cause.
Sasha Foyster, learner voice adviser at Barnsley College said: “We are incredibly proud of our students for their dedication and hard work during the Accumulator Challenge.
“Their innovative approaches and tireless efforts have not only raised funds but have also demonstrated the positive impact young people can have when they come together for a common goal.
“We look forward to continuing supporting Barnsley Hospice in the future.”
A total of £1,566 was raised for the hospice throughout the month.
Simon Atkinson, corporate partnership manager at Barnsley Hospice, added: “I’m so proud and grateful to witness the enthusiasm and generosity of the young adults at Barnsley College as they continue to get involved in our fundraisers and show ongoing support for us.
“What an achievement – raising an incredible £1,566 for Barnsley Hospice’s 2024 Accumulator Challenge.”
