A NATIONAL pizza takeaway will close its Barnsley branch due to its ‘under-performance’.
Papa John’s, on Upper New Street near the town centre, will cease trading, it was confirmed this week, becoming one of 43 branches across the country to close.
Chris Phylactou, managing director at Papa John’s, said: “Our priority is our team members who will be fully supported throughout this process.
“Our goal is to work with impacted team members and attempt to find redeployment opportunities where available.
“We understand the impact this will have on our team members and are committed to supporting them during this time.”
