JUNIOR doctors are on strike once again at Barnsley Hospital – with the industrial action running into the middle of next week.
The strike started at 7am this morning until 11.59pm on Wednesday, a total of five days.
A spokesperson said: “The care and safety of people who use our services is our highest priority, and it is important that people continue to use our services when they need them.
“Some appointments with our services between Saturday and Wednesday may be rearranged. You will be contacted by your healthcare team if your appointment needs to be changed. If you have not been contacted, please continue to attend as planned.
“To help us continue giving high quality safe care to everyone, some of the usual activities our services provide may be limited during this time.
“Please use NHS services wisely during industrial action.
“This will help make sure that care is available to those who need it the most. If you need help, you can still contact 999 in a life-threatening emergency and NHS 111 online for urgent care.
“Information is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week on the NHS website, and local pharmacies and GP practices are also available.”
