MORE than 200 motorcyclists rode through Barnsley for a Christmas-themed charity parade on Sunday.
It was the fourth annual event where bikers and trikers take to the roads in fancy dress – including Santa Claus and The Grinch – for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The parade went through Athersley, New Lodge, Staincross, Mapplewell, Darton, Kexborough, Barugh Green, Wilthorpe, Gawber, the town centre, Monk Bretton, Cundy Cross, Lundwood, Cudworth, Shafton, Brierley, Grimethorpe, Royston and Carlton.
Andrew Self, who co-organised the event with his wife, June, said: “It was spectacular when the lights were on as there’s a long, single file of riders with hundreds of people lined down the route to see us.
“My wife June and daughters go above and beyond to organise this event with me.”
