MANVERS Lake’s annual charity Santa Dash event will take place next month in memory of a woman who died from cancer.

In a joyful and festive display, once again runners will be taking part in a family friendly fun run on December 16 in memory of Hana Szczepkowski who died of cancer aged only 31.

The Santa Run aims to bring the community together and keep Hana’s memory alive, whilst raising funds for the cancer charity Team Verrico who gave her hope and support throughout her illness.

Anna Blinkho, from Team Verrico, said: “The charity is very proud that this event takes place each year not only to raise funds and awareness but to remember Hana, who was a close friend of mine.

“She was extremely grateful for its support in her time of need – I am delighted the annual event continues in her memory.”

The highlight of this event will undoubtedly be the sea of red and white as participants exchange their usual running attire for full Santa suits.

Mark Benton, the Manvers Waterfront Boat Club’s chair, added: “Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a family, or a group of friends, the Santa Run is the perfect opportunity to embrace the holiday spirit and make a positive impact.

“Join us for a memorable day of laughter, joy, and charitable giving.”
