A NEW handyperson and gardening service is to be launched to support Barnsley residents aged 50 and above.

The service will be officially launched by charity Age Concern at its Eldon Street shop on Wednesday from 10am until 2pm.

Chief executive officer, Debby Bunn, said: “We are very pleased to be launching our handyperson and gardening service and know that this will make a huge difference to older people who might be struggling with jobs around the house and in the garden.

“During the current cost-of-living crisis, our service provides a very affordable alternative for older people in Barnsley.

“We would encourage anyone who might be struggling to get in touch on 776825 to find out more.”
