A BARNSLEY bus driver has been recognised as the best in Yorkshire and the one of the top in the country at a national awards.
Kevin Dyson, who works for Stagecoach, was ‘honoured’ to be invited to the event in Blackpool last weekend where he was celebrated as Yorkshire’s best.
The 43-year-old also came 77th out of 100 in the national rankings, a position he admits he hopes to beat in the future.
“It was very competitive,” he said.
“The company enters each year and then it’s judged on lots of different things like driving ability, safety scores and customer complaints.
“So over the next year I want to work a lot harder on my theory, because I think that’s what let me down.
“It was absolutely fantastic though as it’s a great event.
“I most definitely want to go back next year and beat my current position.”
