A BARNSLEY charity is on top of the world after one of its supporters climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for them.

Dan Nestor, 26, climbed the highest mountain in Africa on Wednesday raising £2,274 with the money going to the neonatal baby unit.

A Barnsley Hospital Charity spokesman said: “Our incredible supporter Dan has completed an astonishing climb of Mount Kilimanjaro.

"We think this is fantastic and are super proud of Dan. We can finally say our charity logo has gone global thanks to Dan.

“This is a huge achievement and we have loved seeing the updates from Dan and fellow climbers. Sam our fundraising officer is inspired and would love to follow in Dan’s footsteps in the near future.”
